REACTION THAT CHANGES ITS COLOUR
Prepare a very very dilute solution of KMnO4 [3 small crystals in 100 ml ]. Prepare another solution of 10 ml 1% NaOH and half spoon-full of sugar. Add the two solution in a 250 ml conical flask. See the colour changes from purple to green to yellow to pink and to red. What is the Chemistry? The ions of MnO4 is the hint.

TRY with methylene blue solution. Its blue colour vanishes,Shake the solution it appears?
